What Makes Body20 EMS Training Powerful

Body20 offers aunique version of electro muscle stimulation (EMS) training. It's designed to provide a full-body workout in just 20 minutes by combining EMS with dynamic personal training.

EMS technology is a form of training that uses electrical impulses to stimulate the muscles and cause them to contract. This technology has been used in medical settings for decades to help patients recover from injuries and improve muscle function, but has become very popular as a tool for fitness and wellness.

The Electricity Within Us

EMS essentially mimics the brains impulses to muscles, telling them when to contract or release. The EMS device sends tiny electrical signals at predetermined intervals and for a predetermined length of time, to tell the selected muscle to contract and for how long to hold it. It’s kind of like weight training, just without the weights (and risk of injury). EMS can even activate deep muscles, which weightlifting and other forms of exercises battle to stimulate. Body20 uses EMS technology and our unique dynamic personal training as part of a whole-body program for health and fitness.

EMS provides a safe and effective way of targeting specific muscles or muscle groups. Visible results & success can be seen in a very short time, and the EMS sessions themselves are quick and effective.

There are many benefits of EMS training, including:

  • Increased muscle activation: EMS technology can stimulate up to 90% of the muscle fibres, compared to traditional strength training which typically only activates around 30% of the fibres. This means that EMS can provide a more efficient and effective workout in a shorter amount of time.
  • EMS has been shown to increase blood flood (often when done at lower frequencies) to muscle tissues. As the muscles contracts and relaxes, it acts as a pump to ‘flood’ the muscle with fresh blood, and flush it of any waste materials which then get filtered out by the kidneys.
  • Improved muscle endurance: Regular use of EMS technology can help improve the endurance of the muscles, allowing you to perform more reps and sets with less fatigue for weight trainers, and increased endurance for those who prefer endurance activities such as running or cycling.
  • Increased strength: By stimulating the muscles to contract, EMS technology can help build strength in the targeted muscles. Muscles grow as you use or activate them, and so the more you activate them, the more they will grow. This is especially useful for injury recovery.
  • Reduced risk of injury: Because EMS technology allows you to target specific muscle groups, it can help reduce the risk of injury by avoiding overuse of vulnerable or previously injured muscles.

The Body20 InBody Assessment

One of the first things every Member does is an InBody Assessment. An InBody assessment is a type of body composition analysis that measures various aspects of a person's body, including muscle mass, body fat percentage, and more.

The assessment is performed using a medical grade BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) device, called an InBody, which sends, called an InBody machine, that sends a low-level electrical current through the body. The resistance of the current to the body's tissues provides information about the body's composition, which is then used to produce a detailed report of the person's body composition.

InBody assessments can be useful for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Tracking progress: By regularly performing InBody assessments, individuals can track changes in their body composition over time, which can be helpful in determining if their fitness or weight loss efforts are producing the desired results.
  • Identifying muscle imbalances: InBody assessments can identify areas of the body where muscle mass may be disproportionate, which can help individuals target their exercise routines to address these imbalances.
  • Evaluating hydration levels: The InBody assessment can also measure a person's hydration levels, which can be helpful in ensuring proper hydration and maintaining optimal health.
  • Guiding nutrition plans: By accurately measuring body fat percentage and other metrics, InBody assessments can help individuals understand the composition of their body and guide them in developing a nutrition plan that is tailored to their specific needs.

Overall, an InBody assessment can provide valuable information about a person's body composition, which can be used to help them track their progress, identify muscle imbalances, evaluate hydration levels, and guide their nutrition plans.
